I look around and observe the world and all your children,
and I want to shout…
God is real! God is SO REAL!
Why don’t they believe?
Why, Lord?
And then, I remember myself,
many years ago.
I was also one who didn’t believe.
I said to you many times,
“If you are real,
manifest yourself to me personally.
I don’t want to be a follower for the sake of following
and not truly believing.
Please give me an encounter with you
so that I know for myself
that there is indeed a God!”
I was stubborn
– I refused to budge,
to believe,
to commit
– until finally, you answered my prayer.
You made yourself real in my life,
and now I undeniably know that you are real.
You show up time and again,
in all seasons of life
– demonstrating that you are in control.
What words can I use to describe you?
As I think of you,
my mind cannot summon the words.
You are such a loving God
– a friend.
With each day comes a new revelation of you.
Who else believes in me as much as you do?
No one!
Why?
Because you formed me,
created me, and made me who I am.
Who knows my weaknesses and strengths better than you?
Yet, in all things, you love me forever.
You didn’t come for the perfect soul,
but you came to perfect the soul of the imperfect.
The God who is continually seeking the souls of humankind,
not wanting to leave anyone behind.
What a perfect love!
I love you, Lord!
